Anni. Vaca is over

Too tired/drunk to blog.  More another day.  Preg. test = negative. Cry with me.  Tim said he is ready for me to go to the fertility specialist though & he’ll even get tested if he needs to.  As long as I am CAPABLE of getting pregnant we will try…we aren’t going to go so far as artificial insem or any other drastic means though.  If we can’t get pregnant the “old fashioned way” (with the helps of meds) we’ll adopt.  That’s the reality of it for us.

We had an awesome anniversary vacation, as you can tell by my lack of blogging over the last 3 days…I’ve been to busy!

Anniversary Vacation Day 3

Well today was a good day! I started off with a nightmare about returning to work.  Basically, the kids came back on the same day as my first day back & I had 0 time to set up my classroom!  (These are the WIERD things teachers have nightmares about!)  I had to scramble to get things CLEAN (dusty) and organized enough for the kids…I was wearing jeans & sneakers…and not my pretty NEW outfit…I was SO bummed/stressed/upset/tired/sad about it.  It woke me up WAY early & I couldn’t go back to sleep.

Tim slept in & then we spent the entire morning & early afternoon bumming on our computers & in bed.  I reheated last nights left overs for lunch & then we got moving.  Around 3ish we got to Busch Gardens.  I think we rode like 3 things while we were there.  We met up with Tim’s parents & sister.  We had a snack in Italy & then dinner in Italy too!  I got a HUGE cotton candy (like a foot and a half square!) for $4.  I swear that’s the only thing in the park where you get what you pay for.

Around 8:30 we decided to leave the park, so we trekked back to “Bavaria” which is where we parked (yes the auxilliary to the auxilliary!) and headed homeward.  We decided to go see a movie so our first stop was Cinema Cafe.  Nothing good was playing there, so we headed to Regal Cinemas.  It was 9:30, and Wall-E was scheduled to play at 9:25.  The clerk said it hadn’t started yet & only 13 people bought tickets so we jumped in!

I was disapointed.  I LOVE the premise of the movie (basically TRASH killed Earth & all the humans have been living in outer space for 700 years on a spaceship.  They have gotten fat & lazy.  Then they realize that there’s life on Earth & head back to make a better world.)  BUT, it was seriously lacking.  I am not even sure we’ll BUY this one.  This is major–our DOG’s name is WAZOWSKI.  As in, Mike from Monster’s Inc.  We generally love all things Pixar/Disney.  We were pretty psyched about this movie & it flopped pretty big time for us.  I do not recommend you spend the money to see it in theaters.  Wait for the video!

Next up.  Tim and I are going to start looking into the “Get Paid to Drive” gimmicks going on.  I would totally advertise for someone else for free gas + cash each month!  If you know anything about it, please post & let me know!  Thanks!

Well, I think we’re off to bed!

Anniversary Vacation: Day 2

Well, today was a pretty good day.  Tim & I slept in until 11 & 10:30 respectively.  Then we spent a lot of time doing nothing & laying in bed.  I think it was around 3 when we headed to Toyota.  I told Tim we should call first but he wanted to drive out there.  They weren’t able to take the truck today, so we’ll bring it back for service on Monday.  After that we stopped by the library to return & renew my books on our way home.  We spent some time on our computers & then I did my call-ahead for my Mystery Shop at Texas Roadhouse.  Then it was time to head out to dinner.  We had a LOVELY dinner.  We pretended we’d never been there before & got a free sampler.  After dinner, Tim dropped me off at Kohl’s so I could do our anniversary gift shopping.  He went to Best Buy, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart.  He bought The Sword in the Stone’s 45th anniversary edition while he was at Best Buy.  Then he came back to Kohl’s.  We both tried on clothes for a long time before we finished at 9:30.

When we got home I tried on all my new outfits (and some old mixtures for Tim).

I got new Avia Sneakers and a new bra.  I also got a purple dress, a teal tank top and a teal/brown paisley print skirt, a purple sleeveless button down collar shirt & a purple & black skirt, a lt. blue or periwinkle tank top with a collar, a purple striped sweater, a salmon & brown skirt, a brown pullover dress top, and brown dot skirt.  All together I got 13 things.  Which can be combined with what I own to make more than 12 outfits for work! Yay! I should be able to go at least 2 weeks without repeating an outfit now!  Yay!  I also feel & look good in everything I bought.  I still need a new pair of black pumps (got any recomendations?) and a pair of slightly dressy brown sandals.

Tim got a pair of black pleated Docker’s golf pants, a black short sleeve shirt, a black Docker’s golf polo, and a blue/beige long sleeve button down.

We put 3 shirts on hold for him as well.  I think they were all black with stripes.  We’ll use our $50 in Kohl’s cash to go get those on Monday.

After I showed off my clothes, Tim modeled his.  Then we watched The Sword in the Stone while I did my report & Tim played on the computer.

Now, I think it’s bedtime!

    A Big Thank You!

Wow, I am feeling totally blessed!  I just got an e-mail from Jenny at Mommin’ It Up that I am the winner of her blogs give-a-way for a $25 Gift Certificate to CVS.  This is the inspiration I needed to get back into couponing & TRY to save as much as possible.  Reading through her blog, I can see I’m out of my league with all kinds of acronyms that I don’t understand.  Fortunately, I subbed her blog on my Reader & I’m going to start hanging out on the “Thrifty Families” board of Diaperswappers.  Some of the women on there participate in the CVS savings, so I should be able to pick up on things!  Anyway, this came at a time where Tim & I could really use it & that’s great!  Again, thank you so very much Jenny & Emily!

Their blog has lots of mommy, breastfeeding, and savings tips on it, so you should check it out too!

    Anniversary Vacation: Day 1

Well on Tuesday, Aug. 5, Tim & I will celebrate our 2nd anniversary together.  We are doing it “low key” this year…which means bumming around & trying to enjoy ourselves while spending as little as possible.  Tonight we went & saw The Dark Knight.  We both enjoyed it!  The rest of our vacation includes dinner at Captain George’s & Texas Roadhouse, seeing Wall-E, Chronicles of Narnia: Price Caspian, and Iron Man at AMC & Cinema Cafe, going to Busch Gardens, and going clothes shopping as our gifts to each other.  The second anniversary gift is cotton, and we need work clothes.  So…that’s what we’ll be up to for the next 5 days.

    Later!

    A Big Thank You!

Bloggy Carnival Give Away is SO much fun!  I have been doing ok, not staying up to late or disregarding my responsibilities in an attempt to enter as many as I can.  I have added SO many blogs to my Reader, that I am going to have a hard time keeping up with all the daily entries!  But, I love reading about how others are living.  Many of the blogs I have added relate to my life in some way, either they are newlyweds, trying to live more green, trying to save money, or starting a family!  It’s great to read other people’s blogs & learn from the things they are going through.

I also found out today that I won a Mod Mum Sling!  I am totally stoked becuase I LOVE babywearing!  Right now I have my gauze wrap (that I still need to sew a hem on) and 2 slings my Mom made me from my Peanut Shell.  My PS got lost but I have a Minkee baby blue sling & a cotton sling that were both made from the pattern of the PS.  I love both slings & my wrap.  Now I’ll have one more to add to my collection.  I’m still itching to try a mai-tai & a Duo.  Anyway, thanks to Heidi for this awesome give-away!
